In order to widen the range of classes within the indoor percussion activity in Europe, Indoor Percussion Europe has announced two new percussion classes in 2012. The new classes are the Junior Concert Percussion Class and the Junior Marching Percussion Class.

The Company from Barnsley are the new European Champions in the DCE Premier Class. With a score of 87.45, the corps not only took the title, but also won most captions. So the title will remain in Britain. Last night, the Finals proved to be an unrivalled drum corps competition with incredible shows, perfect weather and a packed stand.
Junior Drum Corps Johan Friso prolongs its European Junior Class title. The junior corps from Middelburg - The Netherlands topped the Junior Class Finals at the Parkstad Limburg Stadium by staying ahead of Jong Jubal (Dordrecht - The Netherlands) with 0.05 points. The French corps Kadoudal surprised with a third place.
The Company are the new DCE 2011 European Champions. They were crowned last night in front of a packed stand at the DCE European Championships in Kerkrade - The Netherlands.

Drum Corps Europe has announced the judging panels for the DCE 2011 European Championships, this Saturday in Kerkrade. Judges from the United Kingdom, The Netherlands and the United States will judge the performances in the Premier Class Prelims, Junior Class Finals and Premier Class Finals.

Two corps at the DCE European Championships will be performing at the market square in Kerkrade on Friday night. The Black Knights and The 6th will be giving spectators a free preview. Their performances are interspersed by spectacular demonstrations from break dance group The Beat Puppets from Heerlen.
Juliana Drum & Bugle Corps will be going to the United States in 2013 to participate in the Drum Corps International competition. The tour will last two weeks and the current Dutch champions will enter the International Class.

On Saturday 10th September 2011, eight bands from across Ireland ascended on Tallaght Municipal Stadium in Dublin for the 2011 IMBA Championships. Following a season of three well attended successful IMBA shows, this years finals was set to be a great event.

This year's IMBA Finals will be held this Saturday at the Tallaght Municipal Stadium, from 4.30 pm. It is the first time in ten years that IMBA Finals have been held in Tallaght, a place many say is the home of the association.
On Saturday, the Starriders from Bad Münder became the German drum corps champions. They won the German Open Premier Class at the Weserbergland Stadium in Hameln. The percussion caption, however, was won by Rastede Showband.
Rochester - New York became stomping ground of the land of 10,000 Lakes this past weekend as two Minnesota corps, Minnesota Brass and the Govenaires, became Open and A Class Champions at the all-age Drum Corps Associates World Championships.
Yesterday, ten corps (2 Junior Class and 8 Open Class) attended the final contest of the 2011 DCUK season prior to the British Championships. The venue was Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium in Leicester and the event was sponsored by Kidsgrove Scouts who took top honours in both the Open and Junior Classes.

Philipp Schüssler from Gevelsberg is the first German who can call himself a DCI champion. This year, he was part of the mellophone line of The Cadets, who became the 2011 World Class Champions in Indianapolis two weeks ago.
Gradually, there are more and more Europeans who have been members of a corps which went on to become the DCI world champion. There are precious few, however, who have been members of a winning drum line. The Belgian Thomas Claesen did just that this year. As a member of the Cavaliers drumline, he won the Best Percussion award.

The British Youth Band Association has announced that the National Championships will move venue for the 2011 season. While their 2010 Championships in Crewe was a success in terms of continuation due to the extreme weather conditions, it also proved that the smaller stand created a fantastic atmosphere.

Four French musicians and guard members have joined the UK based Black Knights Drum & Bugle Corps for the 2011 season. Melanie Leleu is part of the the color guard section, and Jerome Capoen joined the front ensemble since the beginning of the season.
For the tenth time in the organisation's history, the Cadets can again call themselves World Champions. The corps proved that 'Between Angels and Demons' lies a corps with unparalleled talent and dedication, earning a score of 98.35 and the 2011 World Championship title.
The Cadets have topped the World Class Prelims in Indianapolis - Indiana. They scored 97.35, slightly more than the Blue Devils (96.85) and the Cavaliers (96.45).
The DCI World Championship Open Class Finals in Michigan City on Tuesday was the first time all Open Class corps performed together, since the Prelims show the day before was rained out. Blue Devils B are the new DCI Open Class Champions. Jubal from Dordrechjt - The Netherlands made it into the top 12.
For the first time in eight years, a DCI World Championship event was canceled due to severe weather. The Open Class Prelims came to a halt on Monday, 8th August after only two corps had performed at Ames Field in Michigan City - Indiana.
The Blue Devils have topped the big DCI Allentown show. Yesterday the corps scored 95.250, passing the 95 point threshold. The Cadets passed it as well in Allentown.
