Barely one day after the beginning of the ticket sales, Section A is already sold out. Tickets for the DCE European Championships have never gone so fast. Tickets are still available for Section B, which (like Secion A) has some of the more luxurious leather seats. There are also Super Seats available.

The ticket sale for the DCE European Championships has started! For just 15 euros you can get a ticket for the main stand. If you want a seat near to the 50 yard line, order your tickets as soon as possible! There will undoubtly a run on section A and section B tickets again.

Now you can enjoy the DCE Championships in complete luxury! This year, Drum Corps Europe will introduce 'Super Seats'. These are seats in front of some fancy sky boxes in the stadium, where you will be treated like a VIP during the event.

The passing of Bill Cook; businessman, philanthropist, and founder of Star of Indiana, is â??â??a huge shock for the drum corps community. Cook passed away Friday, 18th April at the age of 80. Drum Corps International has brought out various reports and flashbacks about Cook.

Music City Mystique from Nashville, Tennessee, has won the title in the Independent World Class. In the Scholastic World Class, Arcadia High School proved to be the best. The Blue Knights received the 'Fan's Favorite' award.

Bill Cook, businessman, philanthropist and founder of the Star of Indiana Drum & Bugle Corps, died late Friday afternoon at the age of 80. Cook, with a grant from his company Cook Group Incorporated, founded Star of Indiana in 1984.

The Jubal Alumni Corps will be performing at the DCN Finals and the DCE European Championships. The special centenary project of the 100-year-old corps from Dordrecht, will bring a show full of nostalgic Jubal classics.

The members of Beatrix' winter guard had the day of their lives, Saturday at the WGI Independent World Class Finals. "Making it to finals is beautiful by itself, but standing on that floor and performing for that crowd was literally a dream come true."

The Dutch winter guard unit from Beatrix Hilversum has reached the 15th place in the Semi Finals of the Independent World Class at the Winter Guard International World Championships. This means they earned their ticket for the Finals event tonight.

On Saturday 2nd April a capacity audience of over 1,000 people saw five new WGUK Champions crowned at Ponds Forge International Centre at the 32nd British Winterguard Championships which incorporated the 4th British Indoor Percussion Championships.

The Dutch drum & bugle corps Jubal from Dordrecht will get a completely new uniform from the American uniform manufacturer Demoulin this year. Jubal, Demoulin and the Dutch importer Marchingshop.com have entered into a long-term cooperation agreement for this purpose.

Today, Winter Guard United Kingdom will be posting regular updates on its Facebook website throughout the day for the British Championships event to help those that are unable to attend keep up with days proceedings.

Last weekend, Beatrix' winter guard from Hilversum became the first champions in the CGN World Class. Sensation from Amersfoort topped the Open Class at the Color Guard Netherlands Championships.

Music City Drum & Bugle Corps from Nashville is doing very well in the Drum Corps International competition. In the third year of its existence, they are now hoping to compete with a full corps of 150 members.

Junior Corps Confetti from Goes will replace the Clonmel Bluehawks at the 2011 DCE European Championships. Unfortuinatly the Irish unit had to withdraw from the event. DCE warmly welcomes Confetti to the event.

While Drum Corps World has been a very popular magazine amongst drum corps fans, it wasn't easy to keep it going. Publisher Steve Vickers started many projects to keep Drum Corps World going. "Succesful and unsuccesful", Vickers says.

The Senators and The Company became European Champions on Saturday, at the IPE European Championships in the Belgian town of Tournai. Both achieved a monster score of over 90 points in their class. The big surprise of the day was GOT Motion, who came third in the International Marching Percussion Class.

Francesco Villa from Besana Marching Band will be marching Glassmen this summer. He is going to be the third Italian to march DCI and the first member of the unit based in Besana Brianza, Italy.

The electronic age has arrived for the Drum Corps World newspaper. After 39 years as a print publication, the Madison, WI-based newspaper will begin a new era on 2nd May.

The drummers from the University of North Texas have set foot on European soil. The two drum ensembles of UNT will perform at the IPE European Championships and several concert events on Saturday and Sunday.

Percussion Unlimited from Loon op Zand - The Netherlands won the Independent Marching Open Class at the WGI Regional in Goes, The Netherlands last Saturday. The group narrowly beat Unik Star from Hellemmes.

Canada is working towards the creation of a new drum & bugle corps. The corps will be set up in Edmonton, a region that has produced many famous bands. The initiative was made by Lions Clubs International and Impact Performing Arts.

The 'drum corps virus' continues to spread in France. After the success of the junior corps Kadoudal Drum & Bugle Corps, known for their participation at the DCE Championships 2010, a new group of enthusiasts rises to the challenge. The end of Drum Corps Germany as an association with members is near. On 19th February a new board needs to be elected and current board members will make their seats available. However, new candidates for the board have not yet been found.

Jubal Drum & Bugle Corps has released its US tour schedule for next summer. The corps will participate in nine contests, making the tour into a journey of 5700 kilometers.
