The DCE European Championships could once again count on the support of various sponsors this year. DCE is proud to present these drum corps-loving companies to you: Majestic, Guard Equipment, Show & Marching Music, Muremo, Field Company and Drum Corps Media.
MAJESTIC
Majestic really needs no introduction. The well-known family business celebrated its 50th anniversary last year and is a worldwide provider of marching and concert percussion instruments. Majestic and its partners in America and Asia also have links with organisations such as DCI, BOA and WMBC. What's more, various top corps use their set of instruments. Last year, several times European champions Jubal were presented as their newest 'acquisition'.
Majestic will once again contribute to the DCE European Championships this year. "Majestic belongs in the world of marching bands and drum corps," states managing director Peter Vulperhorst. "DCE is a fantastic organisation which has made us feel very much included for years now."
GUARD EQUIPMENT
Guard Equipment provides all the necessary equipment and accessories for Colorguard, Majorette and Twirl, but also for the drum band, fanfare, harmony, podium band and orchestras. Since November 2010, Guard Equipment is the European importer of Dinkles shoes and gloves, and from January 2011 Guard Equipment will import everything from America themselves.
Early 2011, Guard Equipment developed its own rifles, the "OXBOW" mini, junior and senior. DCE is a good target group for us, they attract associations which can be of some importance to our business, and what's more, we can be there for them. We can make new contacts and supervisors/staff/parents can come to us with questions or to ask for information.
SHOW & MARCHING MUSIC
Show & Marching Music is the European music publisher specialised in music for (marching) bands and (marching) percussion ensembles. The company not only publishes music but also creates a lot of 'music made to measure'. This year, the Show & Marching Music arrangers wrote the programme for the Staffordshire Knights (UK) and the Mosson Marching Band (IT).
On the S&MM website, conductors and instructors can request the most recent Show & Marching Music demo CDs for free. During the Championships, the Show & Marching Music stand will raffle off some fun goodies. Show & Marching Music not only has a stand in Kerkrade, but is also in charge of recording the Championships to make the DVD. "We have been sponsoring DCE for years, because it's our way to contribute to the development and growth of the drum corps & show band activity in Europe," explains Van Groningen.
MUREMO
The European marching supplies company Muremo is a well-known concept in the drum corps world. The company has already brought a lot of products 'from across the pond', allowing many corps to easily get products at an affordable price. Think of Marching brass and Percussion from Dynasty, Uniforms by Fred J Miller, all products from the DSI range (director showcase), Innovative percussion sticks and mallets and Sticktape. The company also tries to support corps and provide the best and most affordable service. Muremo will once again have a stall at the Parkstad Limburg Stadium.
FIELD COMPANY
The French business Field Company has also linked itself to the DCE European Championships this year. Do take a look at their website to see the range of products you can order from them. It sells the renowned brands De Moulin, Pro-Mark, Weril and Bergerault. The young company lives and breathes drum corps. This is not surprising, as it is an initiative by ex-Madison Scout Yohann Boscher.
DRUM CORPS MEDIA
Photographic agency Drum Corps Media will once again be present this year to take some great pictures of all the corps. The enthousiastic photographers will run and fly across the field all day. As a result, we usually end up with hundreds of photographs, so there will be something to suit your taste, without a doubt. So don't forget to have a look at their website after the DCE European Championships.
