The British Youth Band Association will increase the number of overage members in a unit competing in BYBA from 5 to 10 for the 2016 season. The rule change is in for the 2016 season.

Yesterday saw fifteen bands and corps take part in one of the most exciting and closest fought British Youth Band Association National Championships in recent years. The titles went to East Coast Elite (Premier Class), Lanesfield BB/GB (Championship Class), Dynamic Vibe (Associate Class) and Cadence Juniors (Cadet Class).

For 2015, BYBA’s Associate Class scope is changing to allow Associate Bands to either be judged off the Premier or Championship sheets.

The pinnacle of BYBA's 2014 40th Anniversary season concluded on Saturday with the BYBA National Championships held at the New Bucks Head Stadium, AFC Telford United in Telford. "The atmosphere under the floodlights made for a fantastic spectacle to round off a fantastic season", BYBA stated.

The pinnacle of the BYBA 2013 season concluded on Sunday 6th October 2013 with the BYBA National Championships held once again at Keys Park Stadium, Hednesford Town Football Club in Cannock. The competition marked the end of the European summer season.

Tomorrow, the BYBA National Championships will take place. This championship concludes the European competition season for corps and bands.

The pinnacle of the 2012 season concluded last Sunday with the BYBA National Championships. In Division 1, 37th Kingswood took 1st place followed by East Coast Elite in 2nd place and Beeches PE in 3rd place.

The 2012 BYBA National Championships will take place today in Hednesford - Cannock. Tickets are availeble for £10, discounts apply to child tickets and family tickets.
