Drum Corps International has announced the 2010 tour. The tour will be comprised of an impressive lineup of 113 events in 39 states taking place over a 58-day span from June through August.
This past Sunday 22nd November saw the launch of the Black Knights Brass Theatre project, and what better place than to launch than at the auditions for a nationally televised talent show? The members of the group which consists of 11 brass and 1 percussionist, travelled to the Business Design Centre in Islington for the preliminary auditions for Britain's Got Talent.

Tyler Jr. College of Tyler Texas - USA will be going to Europe. The group will be travelling n April of 2010 to attend the IPE contest in France on Sunday March 28th and the Indoor Percussion Europe Championships in Crawley - UK on Sunday April 4th.

BBC2 hopes to do for local brass bands what 'Strictly' has done for ballroom dancing with a three-part Shine Television series fronted by Sue Perkins. The 3 x 60-minute 'Band for Britain' will follow Perkins as she tries to rebuild a dwindling brass band in Dinnington - South Yorkshire and prepare them for a major competition.
The Blue Lions Drum & Bugle Corps is history. A few years ago, the French corps converted from drumline to a drum & bugle corps, but this step did not generate the expected success.

Visitors are very pleased with the progress of the European DCE Championships in Kerkrade, as shown by a public survey. This was completed by over 200 people, who assess the European Championship with a grade of 8.7 out of 10.
Ton Stam, an alumni member of Beatrix Drum & Bugle Corps, has been elected as a board member for the Madison Scouts. He has been appointed to a one year term at the 2009 annual meeting last week.
Following on from the roaring success of the Dagenham Crusaders Alumni Corps, Sunday 17th January 2010 will see the commencement of rehearsals of the two times DCUK Champion Corps from Brighton: the Knights.
Juliana Drum & Bugle Corps from Middelburg has announced the 2010 programme. The new show is called 'Sound'. After the success of the 2009 show 'Textures' the corps has again opted for a theme with many musical and visual dimensions.

The Centerville High School Winter Drumline from Centerville - Ohio will be traveling to Europe this spring to compete in the 2010 Indoor Percussion Europe Championships in Crawley - United Kingdom. The group will consist of approximately 50 high school students.

For many years it has been the wish of our staff and members of the Jubal drumline to participate in the indoor percussion circuit during the winter months. After many talks, discussions, meetings, a lot of planning, writing and debating budgets this wish will now become reality. Jubal will have its own indoor percussion unit, carrying the name of 'Jubal Indoor Percussion'.
Every show starts with a blank canvas and music and visual are added to build the perfect drum corps show. In 2010, the Senators will be exploring this idea in great depth as they 'Just Add...' the musical and visual ingredients into their show to go from their blank canvas and build into an entertaining, colourful, crescendo of effect underpinned by the level of performance and excellence expected from the 8-time DCUK and 2-time DCE champions.

Today, the registration period for the DCE European Championships 2010 has begun. Corps will be able to register during November. The participants list will be published mid-December.
The 2010 show of The Madison Scouts will be featuring George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and Richard Rodgers' Slaughter on Tenth Avenue. "In selecting these works I wanted music that will enable us to re-establish the Madison Scout brand this first year", stated artistic director James Mason.
In the 99th season of Jubal Drum & Bugle Corps from Dordrecht, the DCN and DCE champions counts down to their centenary in 2011. The last chapter of the first century of Jubal will therefore be called 'Clockwork Orange'. The new programme is all about the effects of time and of clocks in particular.
Indoor Percussion Europe will hold its second Percussion Advisory Board meeting in Dordrecht on November 4th. Percussion advisors and specialists from several European countries will discuss topics in regard to the upcomming European indoor percussion season, including education, organisation, contests and judging.
The Wölper Löwen from Neustadt am Rübenberghe did not enter any drum corps contests this year to allow them to focus on their theatre show. The premiere was earlier this month, and they have since performed the show two times. The show has been very well received by the public.
Indoor Percussion Europe has received the first applications for the 2010 competition. Units from the United Kingdom and France have come forward, and many others have announced their agreement to participate.

Southern Aurora have announced their 2010 show 'Invaders'. Chaos, a struggle for freedom and the ecstasy of victory. Southern Aurora will explore humanity's fight for freedom. Aurora will return to competition after a year's absence and are really excited at the prospects for 2010.
