Drum Corps World review of DCE Championships
In its November edition, Drum Corps World devotes much attention to Drum Corps Europe. The magazine opens with a comprehensive review and pictures of the DCE European Championships in Kerkrade.
The review is written by publisher Steve Vickers who was present during the European Championships. The edition also has more than 30 pictures of the event. "Chairman Marcel Matthijsse is justifiably proud of the progress he and his team have made building an organisation to lead the European movement", Vickers says in his report. "The key for so many years was finding people who weren't directly affiliated with one of the competing corps to take the leadership role." And there is more attention for Europe in Drum Corps World, because articles on the DCUK Championships and a BYBA contest are also included in the magazine.
The corps which participated in the European DCE Championships this year will be sent a free copy of the latest edition of Drum Corps World by Drum Corps Europe. These copies have been made available for distribution to corps by Steve Vickers.
