Mark Long joins ICT team at Drum Corps Europe
Mark Long is the newest staff member on the ICT team at Drum Corps Europe. He will work with Rob Beeren on expanding and improving DCE's website. DCE is happy to have Mark on board.
Mark has been working in the ICT industry for eight years (in support, management and solutions development) and is also interested in web design. He is planning to start a Computing and ICT degree next year. Mark has been a marching member of The Company in 2011 and 2012 (tuba/baritone) and marched City of York Scout Band, Northern Star and Dagenham Crusaders between 1999 and 2010. In 2010 he taught The Academy Winterguard.
In 2013 Mark is not able to march, but he would still like to be involved in and contribute to the drum corps activity. “I'm really happy to be offered this chance to work alongside Rob and the rest of the DCE team, to give back and help contribute to the great activity that I've had the joy of being part of for so many years", Mark said.
Board member ICT Rob Beeren is happy to have Mark Long on board. "Building a website and keeping it up to date, both content and coding, is a lot of work", Rob Beeren said. "We are always looking for skilled people who can help on this, and we are really happy to have Mark on board."
Drum Corps Europe is looking forward to working together with Mark.
