DCUK opener: Black Knights first, Kidsgrove second
The Black Knights have topped the first Drum Corps United Kingdom contest in Warrington, last Sunday. The corps scored 65.0, 1.2 points ahead of the Kidsgrove Scouts. Phoenix Coventry won the A Class. The Black Knights have topped the first Drum Corps United Kingdom

Kidgrove topped the Brass and Percussion captions, The Black Knights
took Visual, Color Guard and Effect. The other competitors in the Open
Class were 37th Kingswood (55.8, third place), Poynton Commodores
(52.9, fourth place), and Stafford Lancers (51.4, fifth place).
Phoenix Coventry took top honors in A Class, and the 37th Kingswood
Cadets won the Cadet Class. In the Junior Class, the Staffordshire
Knights were the only competitors. The next DCUK contest will take place in Barsnley on July 16th.
