European drum corps symposium in London
On Saturday 22nd January, Drum Corps Europe and its Certified Partners will once again organise the European Drum Corps Symposium in London. On that day, European corps will be given the opportunity to discuss the future of drum corps and exchange ideas.
Besides a meeting for corps administrators, there is also a meeting for instructors, arrangers and designers led by DCE Adjudication Manager Douglas Caldwell and Director of Education Bob Thomas. Among other topics, they will discuss any changes in the pipeline.
For the first time, the session for instructors, arrangers and designers will be split. Some less experienced staff members find these sessions to be too complex. A special session has been added with them in mind, in which the manual is discussed in less intricate detail, and more basic issues are discussed.
For corps who are not participating in the DCE European Championships but are entering (or planning to enter) a national competition, the symposium is a good time to get acquainted with both organisers and fellow corps.
