Ann Legon joins DCE team as Judges’ Administrator
Ann Legon has joined the Drum Corps Europe team as the new Judges Administrator. Ann will be coordinating the judges' panels for the DCE certified events and the DCE Championships, organising the training days/judges meetings, and the central contact for all judges and external parties. Ann has been involved with the drum corps and marching band world for about 30 years, from the time her daughters joined a band in the late 1970's. For a few years during the 1980's she was involved with Basildon Blue Eagles Drum & Bugle Corps firstly on the fundraising committee and later as Secretary on the Management Committee, helping to organise and travelling with them to compete in the Netherlands on several occasions, and also to America on two occasions, and is currently on the Management Committee of Southern Aurora.
Over the last 16 years Ann has been a tabulator for DCUK and the DCUK Judges Association Administrator for the past ten years, and she is currently a tabulator for BYBA. "I feel very honoured to be asked to take on this position, and look forward to working with the DCE team", Ann said.
The Board of DCE is very pleased with Ann's decision to become the Judges' Administrator and wishes her all the best in this job.
