Drum Corps International has announced the 41st edition of its annual summer tour, which will be held between 19th June 19 and 10th August 2013. The tour will span a total of 53 days and feature more than 100 competitive events in 38 states.

Mark Long is the newest staff member on the ICT team at Drum Corps Europe. He will work with Rob Beeren on expanding and improving DCE's website. DCE is happy to have Mark on board.

The BBC will air a programme about the re-launch of Thurrock Marching Brass. The band closed its door in 1989 after sixteen years but reformed in 2010, lead by Paul Morgan.

The metamorphosis of the Drum Corps Europe website seems to have the visitors' approval. The number of visitors increased significantly in October 2012 compared to the month of October last year.

The Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps need financial help. David Stinson, Glassmen's Interim Executive Director, has determined that the corps will receive $550,000 from members, DCI appearance fees, and fund-raisers, but the anticipated annual operating budget is over $850,000. This leaves the Glassmen with a gap of $300,000.

Unik Star from Hellemes - France have announced their 2013 production 'Konect'. The show includes music composed by Joe Rodwell (UK), Carl Curtis (UK) and David Lemant (FR).

The new show of the Heartliner Drum & Bugle Corps for the coming year is called 'Up and Away'. The intention is that the show will be seen in both Europe and the United States.

The Renegades Drum & Bugle Corps from San Fransisco are planning a trip to Europe. The corps announced this on their Facebook page yesterday.

The pinnacle of the 2012 season concluded last Sunday with the BYBA National Championships. In Division 1, 37th Kingswood took 1st place followed by East Coast Elite in 2nd place and Beeches PE in 3rd place.

The Field Band Foundation (FBF) of South Africa held its Band Championships on 6th October, and the Blue Devils added to the festivities with a donation of 48 brass instruments.

The registration period for the IPE Indoor Percussion 2013 Events has started. Indoor percussion units will be able to register for five events till November 15th. IPE is very proud to present a full calendar with five events throughout Europe.

The Company has prolonged its European title in the Premier Class in Kerkrade yesterday. Their show entitled 'Red Riding Hood' scored 87.15 points, which was 1.55 more than the Kidsgrove Scouts (85.60). INCLUDING RECAPS

Jong Jubal are the new 2012 DCE Junior Class champions. Kadoudal came in second, moving up from 3rd place last year. Ravens did really well and managed to reach the top three.

The Company has topped the Premier Class Prelims. Their score was only 0.2 more than the corps in second place: Kidsgrove Scouts.

Drum corps fans can enjoy themselves on Saturday outside the Parkstad Limburg Stadium. There will be a large Drum Corps Market on the square in front of the stadium, with lots of stalls selling music supplies.
