WGUK shows well subscribed with 39 units
Winterguard United Kingdom has announced details of the show entries for the 2011 season. All shows are very well subscribed this year with the number of performing units up by one on 2010 at 39, representing 22 different organisations.
The competition counts 7 Open Class, 8 A Class, 13 Junior Class, 7 Cadet Class and 4 indoor percussion units, including four new organisations to the activity: two colour guards - South West Academy (Cadet Class) from Bristol and Winter Festival (Junior Class) from Ireland and two Indoor Percussion - Nexus from Bedfordshire and The Company from Barnsley.
Back in the competition are Alliance (A Class colour guard) and Senators (indoor percussion) plus the return of a name from the past, Thurrock Academy (Junior Class), who are now part of the new Thurrock Marching Brass organisation.
