IPE is nearing its maximum number of units
New participants for Indoor Percussion Europe are continuing to register. Currently, IPE is pleased to be welcoming thirteen units, and it seems that more groups are going to sign up. The maximum number of participants for the IPE Championships has almost been reached.
Thirteen groups will be performing at the IPE Championships. The maximum number of participants is sixteen, so three places are still available. Indoor Percussion Europe has announced that indoor drumlines interested participating at the European Championships must register as a matter of urgency. There is no limit for the regionals.
"We had not expected such a huge influx of participants, you could almost call it a luxury problem", states Erwin van Gemert from IPE. "Especially in these difficult financial times it is great to see that there is so much interest."
Besides the thirteen participants at the IPE Championships, five groups will go to the IPE/WGUK Regional in England and ten groups will go to the IPE Regional in Belgium. "We are already looking forward to a great season of indoor percussion", says Van Gemert.
