The Pride is the world's largest winter guard
The Pride winter guard from Huizen is the largest winter guard association in the world, as concluded by the club's own investigation. "We been not able to find an association with six units anywhere else in the world", The Pride announces.
Next season, there will even be an additional seventh unit: The Pride Senior. The Pride also has a special instruction team offering a weekly program with TPdance. Things have moved very fast in recent years. In 2003 The Pride had four units. The PreCadets were only a small group which did not compete. The group was then expanded. In 2006 a plan was developed for increasing the number of units in The Pride. It has recently expanded to include seven groups.
Other prominent winter guard associations with four units are located mainly in the UK (such as the Southern Knights, Mayflower and Guardsmen). The Pride has not been able to find any guards in America with more than three units.
