After considerable discussion among its board of trustees over the course of the past three months, the Capital Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps has announced that it will not be participating in the 2010 Drum Corps International Tour. In the face of a challenging economy affecting many businesses, the Capital Regiment has been unable to offset a considerable decline in its primary source of revenue to a level sufficient for delivering a high-quality experience to the members of its organisation for the 2010 season.
The difficult decision to return to 'inactive status' is being made by the board at this time to enable all of those desiring to participate in a corps next summer with the opportunity to seek membership in another organisation.
