Hertfordshire Showband enter Power Regional
Hertfordshire Showband, formally known as the Marching Blues, became the 15th unit to enter the DCE Power Regional at Crystal Palace on June 21 2008, adding a new dimension to the show.
DCE Project Manager Andy Hewlett said "I've seen Hertfordshire Showband on a number of occasions over the last few years and I think they will bring something completely different to the Regional. They are a big impressive unit with a unique style, not dissimilar to Dutch groups such as DAP and Showband Marum who have competed successfully in both DCE and DCN in the past. It will be fascinating to see how Hertfordshire rate with a DCE judging panel and I am very pleased that they have decided to enter the show."
The 2008 production of Hertfordshire Showband is called 'Showtime!' and features the music pieces 'Cantina Band', 'Sing Sing Sing', 'And All That Jazz', 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight', 'Summertime', and 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.
