Drum Corps avatars on drumcorpstalk.com
DCE corps 'avatars' are now available on the DCE community site drumcorpstalk.com. Forum members can insert an avatar of their own corps or favourite corps next to their name.
An avatar is a picture that appears below a forum member's name in forum messages. Although you can upload an avatar yourself, it is much easier to select one from the list of avatars already available on drumcorpstalk.com.
The pictures, which are based on the well-known drum corps logos from the dciscores.com website, have been created by the Italian designer Cristian Barbarino. There is an avatar available for each corps that has participated in the DCE Championships 2007. If there is no avatar for your favourite corps, you can submit a request for an avatar to the designer.
The avatars do not indicate any official affiliation of the forum member with the corps concerned at all; this is why all the avatars have been given the same recognisable style. It is meant more as a fun way for forum members to express their preference or passion for a particular corps.
Avatars can be selected in the preferences and settings of the member's own account.
