Xpression 2008 and 'Behind the Magic Door'
Xpression, Unik Star's winterguard unit from Hellemmes France, has announced the theme of the show for the 2008 winterguard season: 'Behind the Magic Door'. Xpression will perform this show at the CGN and WGI competitions in The Netherlands.
Xpression has attracted two new international instructors. Ilona Hamstra (from The Netherlands) is the new drill and movement designer for Xpression. She will come over two 3-day weekends to work on the drill and movements with the winterguard members
Norman King (from the United States is the technique instructor for Xpression for this season. Norman King teaches in high schools in the United States. He will help during many weekends during the winterguard season.
The winterguard had their first camp on October 26th, 27th and 28th, and have worked on 'Behind the Magic Door' with these 2 new instructors.
Sandy Sueur, Coordinator of Xpression said: "It's a great privilege to welcome an American in France. Norman King has a lot to offer to the guard members regarding technique and movements. Residing in France this year, he will come several times to help our group improve. Ilona Hamstra and I have been in contact for several weeks now. She has been able to create a show at the image of Xpression and she's very committed to this show. There is no doubt that Xpression will benefit from these instructors, so we would like to thank them for their contribution."
