Harpe Davids looking for participants for big corps
A one-off performance by a 'mega-corps' with percussionists and color guards. This is the project that show corps Harpe Davids hopes to get off the ground this year. The club is inviting percussionists and color guards from all over Europe to take part in this initiative.
The project to set up a mega-corps is not something which has appeared out of the blue. This year sees the 50th anniversary of Harpe Davids and they want to celebrate this with numerous activities. One of the highlights will be the mega-corps. Percussionists (snares, tenors, bass drums, melodic percussion) and color guards from the Netherlands and other European countries can sign up.
The mega-corps will be formed on Saturday 22nd September and, after rehearsals during the day, will perform in the evening during the Harpe Davids international anniversary tattoo. They will be practising a specially arranged medley of classics that the show corps has played over the years.
Participation in the mega-corps is free, and lunch will be provided either free of charge or for a small fee. Sheet music and audio files will be sent well in advance to enable the participants to prepare well. Registration can be done via telephone no.
