DCE drum corps movies in Second Life
Users of the online society Second Life are now able to watch DCE drum corps videos. At the virtial clubhouse of KMNL, the video clips are shown on a big screen. KMNL is a project of korpsmuziek.nl, a Dutch website dedicated to marching music.
Visitors of the KMNL clubhouse can make a selection which video will be played on the big screen, including shows from the DCE Championships 2004, 2005 and 2006. "With four million users, Second Life is a perfect place to promote our music activity", says initiator Cor Vosseberg of KMNL. "Mainly Dutch, but also Danish, German, British and American visitors watched the clips and talked to other musicians in our clubhouse."
Heiko Nielsen from Germany recently joined the KMNL team to promote the project in his country. This resulted in a huge increase of visitors at the KMNL clubhouse. More information on KMNL can be found at www.corpsmusic.com.
