Things go well for Dutch Drums. Last winter, the group found a record company: Haring Records from Eindhoven. Their latest release is 'Fiesta del Ritmo' with DJ Connata, an exciting latin/house song. Several radio stations, like FunX (a popular youth station in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag and Utrecht) have added it to their airplay list.

'Fiesta del Ritmo' is used as an item tune of the Radio 2 show 'Schiffers.fm'. DJ Giel Beelen of 3FM stated that the song has been the best production of the record company Haring Records so far. The videoclip has been sent to music television channels TMF and MTV.

"Of course we hope that the videoclip will be broadcasted by these music television channels", said band leader Ralph de Jong of Dutch Drums. "It's important that these channels play our clip. We're currently working on bringing the songs to Belgian radio stations as well. That seems to be somehwat easier than in The Netherlands. But we're trying to plug the song in The Netherlands too, like on CAZ and Radio 538."

The drummers of Dutch Drums have their roots in drum corps. The band members are Remko Elderhorst (Don Bosco, Blue Wave, Jubal), Menno de Jong (Avalance), Peter Frings (Avalance), Ralph de Jong (Avalance), and Rudy Ritfeld (Jubal, and still an instructor with Avalance). The members know eachother from the drum corps activity, and decided to form a percussion group ten years ago. Their ultimate goal is a break through. "But it would also be nice if we can do Dutch Drums part time', De Jong said.

The CD single of 'Fiesta del Ritmo', inclduing the videoclip, can be ordered through info@dutchdrums.nl for only five euros. It's also possible to download the song for a small fee. The CD will be available in Dutch music stores shortly.
