Kidsgrove Scouts percussion clinic with Jeff Moore
The Kidsgrove Scouts will organise a percussion clinic with special guest Jeff Moore. A unique opportunity for percussionists to witness first hand an accomplished musician demonstrating his craft in the UK. Professor Moore will first present and discuss approaches to a range of marching and orchestral percussion instruments.
He will also work with the 2005 DCUK championship percussion section, the Kidsgrove Scouts, in order to demonstrate some of the fundamental playing principals exemplified by the various marching ensembles he has worked with during his career.
Moore has served as the Percussion Director of the internationally acclaimed Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps, and as Program Consultant/Percussion Arranger with several European, Japanese, and Indonesian drum corps and bands. He was the battery arranger for the 1999 DCA World Champion Syracuse Brigadiers.
The clinic will be held on February 12th at the Chestron High School in Stoke on Trent, from 1PM to 5PM. Admission fee is £4 at the door (discounted price for DCUK and BYBA percussion members). More information can be found at www.kidsgrovescouts.org.
