Northern Star and Distant Thinder win BYBA 2005
Northern Star from Leeds (Division 1) and Distant Thunder from Bedford (Division 2) took home the BYBA National Championship trophy following an awesome performance that leaves both corps undefeated in the British Youth Band Association this year.
Northern Star scored 953 points, beating their competitors with 41 points. The Forgemen passed The Black Knights with only 1 point, and reached the second place with 912 points. Northern Star and Distant Thunder won all major caption awards in their respective divisions. Both corps achieved a record score.
32 corps entered the BYBA National Championships in five divisions. Winners in Division 3, Division 4 and the Cadet Division were Warwick Girls, Phantom Knights, and Upton Youth Band.
