The Company wins International Class at DCI

The Company won the International Class at the Drum Corps International Open Class Championships. With a score of 72.325, they scored a bit more than 7th Regiment who ended on the 8th place in the Open Class. The Vanguard Cadets won the Open Class last Tuesday 8th August with a score of 80.725.

At DCI Prelims last Thurday, they ended on the 30th place, with a score of 70.038, still above 7th Regiment.

It was the first trip to compete at the DCI Championships for the Company. A cast of 92 and a staff/crew of 45 persons from all over Europe and the US joined the Company for their tour. 

They ended their tour last Sunday where the DCI Tour Banquet at the Hard Rock Cafe Indianapolis was held, joined by John DeNovi, Eric Hjellming, Sue Kuehnold and Duffy Teague as well as their USA staff Andrew Markworth Mike Bishop and their lovely wives.

The members were present with their 2017 DCI International Class Champions patches together with s stunning Corps photo and individual photo taken by Jolesch Photography.

The Company donated their air beds, sleeping bags and pillows to local homeless charities which was organised through the Indianapolis Mayors Office and the USA props and flag poles were donated to West Milford High School as a thank you for lending them the equipment.

The cast of The Company were in the USA for 14 days and performed at 1 exhibition show and 6 DCI shows. They were DrumLine Battle semi finalists and SoundSport World Champions. The cast are back rehearsing for the rest of the season over the upcoming bank holiday weekend.
