Forgemen drummers attempt world record
Starting on Friday June 10 at 10 AM, nine members of the Forgemen percussion section will begin a challenge to break the World Team Drumming marathon record, which currently stands at 100 hours.
The members will be drumming in three teams of three drummers, each group doing 8 hours non-stop drumming each day, then handing over to the next group. "The exact look of the event has yet to be decided, and we still have some equipment issues to resolve, but this event has been in planning since early january this year", corps representative Lee Court said.
"We will post regular updates on their progress, but if anyone would like to go along and offer support, or perhaps a cup of tea and a shoulder massage, then they can be found at the Tesco Superstore, Clowne in Derbyshire."
