The DCE European Championships of 2012 will once again have a phenomenal line-up. No less than 22 top corps from six different countries will compete with each other. How are the competitors doing and what do they have in store for the audience? We will introduce them to you in 7 episodes.

Corps: Commodores
Country: United Kingdom
Class: Premier Class
Show programme: 'Above'

The programme Above is a 'journey, an adventure and a voyage of discovery.' Since time immemorial, we have looked up at the sky and imagined what we might find there", states the corps. This year, the Commodores will be making their own journey, above 'and beyond'. The expectations are set at a very high standard: "We will take you on a journey through the clouds to the moon, passing by planets to see what is really ABOVE."

Show programme: 'Trapped'

Escaping the Black Knights is impossible this year. In the show, the corps makes it clear that complete freedom in our daily lives is impossible. Whether it's about an addiction or a habit in your daily life, you are always 'trapped' in some way. Spectators will undoubtedly be glued to their seats!

Corps: Besana Secutores
Country: Italy
Class: Premier Class
Show programme: 'Arachnophobia'

Prepare yourself for a 'Fear Factor'-like performance. The show 'Arachnophobia' is about (the fear of) spiders. 'Arachnophobia' explores the habitat and behaviour of spiders, and the fear that many people have for these creatures. It will be a 'dark' show, with the feared black widow also playing a part.

Corps: Beatrix
Country: The Netherlands
Class: Premier Class
Show programme: 'Under Construction'

In 2012, Beatrix will take you to a construction shack in the old New York. The city is full of scaffolding and the city that never sleeps is beginning to be created. The thumping beats; the rough time and the machines suit the atmosphere of 'Rhapsody in Blue' by Gershwin, which will be the basis of this Beatrix show.
