The DCE European Championships of 2012 will once again have a phenomenal line-up. No less than 22 top corps from six different countries will compete with each other. How are the competitors doing and what do they have in store for the audience? We will introduce them to you in 7 episodes.

The DCE European Championships of 2012 will once again have a phenomenal line-up. No less than 22 top corps from six different countries will compete with each other. How are the competitors doing and what do they have in store for the audience? We will introduce them to you in 7 episodes.

 
Corps: Jong Beatrix
Country: The Netherlands
Class: Junior Class

Even 'older young people' will enjoy Jong Beatrix's show, which has chosen a repertoire by the well-known ABBA. Timeless music, the corps from Hilversum says. 'Although the members of Jong Beatrix have probably not grown up with this music, they know it because it is still played everywhere. Right now, the musical Mamma Mia is touring the country, attracting a large audience. The audience in the streets will recognise the melodies straight away and the audience at the tattoos and contests will certainly not be able to sit still when all these infectious melodies are played.'

Country: The Netherlands
Class: Junior Class
Show programme: 'Emotions'

Johan Friso's show is literally full of emotions. "Did you know that moment? You go somewhere for the first time, a new class, a new job, or a first date. The predominant feeling at a time like that is insecurity or fear. Johan Friso tries to grow from this fear to self-assurance", states the corps. The recognisable theme is accompanied by music from Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and Evanescence.

Country: The Netherlands
Class: Premier Class
Show programme: 'Return of the Classics'

Con Spirito will enrapture you with a brilliant classical programme. The corps will open with a piano concert by Tchaikovsky, followed by Mozart's Festive, Amazing Grace, the 5th Symphony by Beethoven and the famous 'Dance Macabre'.
