Drum corps fan at Apple?
Some time ago, a picture of a drum corps show was published at the website of Apple Computer. Today, several names of drum corps people are displayed in an animated GIF file, propagating Apple's popular MP3-player iPod.
The animated GIF on Apple's website shows the new feature of the iPod to store contacts in a database. An extended list of drum corps related personal names appears in the animation, like David Gibbs (Blue Devils), Rick Valenzuela (Santa Clara Vanguard), Anne Bragstad (Blue Devils alumni), Charlie Groh (Velvet Knights alumni), David Emmond (Velvet Knights/Blue Devils alumni), Stuart Pompel (Pacific Crest) and Tracy Freeman (River Ciry Regiment).
Many published names are related to Renegades Drum & Bugle Corps: Chris Nalls (Renegades director), Johanna Miller (penningmeester Renegades), Julie Liedtke, Kimela Hilleary, Lee Rudnicki and Lisa Johnson. Maybe Apple Computer wants to encourage Drum Corps International to make the Audio Performance Downloads available for the iPod? (Source: Peter Franken)
