Dan Acheson to attend DCE Championships

Saturday. This is the first time that the DCI top man will be present
in person at a European drum corps event.
"We are especially pleased and honoured that Dan has accepted our
invitation", says DCE Chairman Marcel Matthijsse. "DCE has had
excellent ties with DCI for years and this visit demonstrates that Drum
Corps international is interested in everything that is happening in
Europe with regard to drum corps."
Dan Acheson has been Director of Drum Corps International since 1996.
"I am looking forward to attending the 2006 Drum Corps Europe
Championship as a representative of Drum Corps International and its
member corps", Mr. Acheson said. "I am excited to see the incredible
achievements of all those that participate in the championship event as
they pursue their ultimate performance. Further, I know I will enjoy
sharing in the drum corps experience with people who have an intense
passion for demonstrating entertainment with excellence."
