Distant Thunder enter Finals undefeated
Distant Thunder Show Corps from Bedford finished the regular season at the BYBA Upton on Severn Show Saturday with another stunning performance. Taking all captions at the show, the corps broke through the 800 barrier scoring 817 points finishing 89 points ahead of the second placed corps.
During the regular season Distant Thunder have taken the 'West Side Story' theme and made a unique and exciting show that has become very popular with crowds both in the UK and Europe, and they are very much looking forward to the weekend where they will be defending the A-Class Championship title at the DCE Finals in Rotterdam.
Corps director John Dimmick commented: "This has been a stunning year for the corps, however it is now we need to push for excellence and we come into finals in Rotterdam, in high spirit and looking forward to the challenges left. We also are looking forward to meeting old friends in Holland and hopefully making some new ones."
Distant Thunder appear at the DCE Championships on Saturday 24th September and then at the BYBA UK Nationals on Sunday 9th October. Dimick: "We would like to wish all competing corps at the two events all the very best for the end of season and to also have a great winter building new and exciting programs for 2006."
