IPE Champions: Vintage, SA and New Generation
Vintage , Southern Aurora and New Generation are the new European indoor percussion champions. Last Sunday they topped the International Marching Percussion Class, European Marching Percussion Class and the Concert Class at the IPE European Championships.
More than 500 indoor percussion fans enjoyed the third edition of the IPE European Championships in Crawley last Sunday. At the K2 Arena, ten units competed for the European titles. Furthermore, there was a Meet & Greet with the mysterial Bansihed Beyond, a bassdrum ensemble performance by the Senators bassline, and a performance by Tyler Junior College.
Two of the three new champions are from the United Kingdom: Vintage (89.05) beat DrumSpirit from Belgium (88.75) in the International Marching Percussion Class. Unik Star from France became third (86.15), followed by GOT Motion from Sweden (82.40)and Alliance (UK, 74.90).
Southern Aurora (75.80) was too strong for Music Black Show from France (62.50) in the Concert Class. The Belgian unit New Generation from Belgium (75.80) won the European Marching Percussion Class. The other two drumlines in the class were both French groups, New Spirit (66.25) and Le Symphonic (59.85)
