Senators prepare for military service
This coming Saturday, the 9th of July, the Senators Drum & Bugle Corps from Eistleigh will be performing their 2005 show, 'Mission Incredible' at a concert in Winchester, Hampshire hosted by the world famous Band of the Light Division.
As well as the full corps performance, the Senators brass line have been invited to perform in concert with the military musicians in the Grand Finale. This weekend, brass players learnt specially written parts to 'An Evening Hymn and Sunset' and also Stravinsky's 'The Firebird Suite' arranged by Senators brass writer Tim Gardiner who has worked with Light Division Director of Music Calum Gray to fit the G brass seamlessly in with the existing Military band scores.
This is a very exciting opportunity for the corps, particularly for the horn players having the chance to work with and play alongside professional musicians.
