Beatrix announces 2005 show
Beatrix Drum & Bugle Corps has announced their new show for 2005: 'Hooray for Hollywood'. The program will be a tribute to the big film musicals from Hollywood.
With Hollywood Overture, Beatrix' will take the audience to a happy opening of 'Hooray for Hollywood' and 'That's Entertainment'. The audience will almost be forced to applaud to these well-known melodies. The corps goes back in time to celebrate the introduction of colour movies with 'The Oz Suite'. The movie in which you can see that very clearly is of course 'The Wizard of Oz'. The many emotions in this film musical will be showed to the audience in a special production written for Beatrix.
In the history of film musicals 'The West Side Story' from Bernstein could not be forgotten. Beatrix will pay tribute to this unforgettable film musical with 'The West Side Finale'. From the many great songs the pieces 'One Hand One Heart' will definitely touch the audience. The tribute to Hollywood will end with a spectacular arrangement of 'Tonight'. The audience will not easily forget this song in which entertainment will be key.
