Juliana and Johan Friso top DCN show Middelburg
The start of the season has become a success for Juliana from Middelburg. Both Juliana and their feeder corps Johan Friso topped their class with 64.55 and 63.05 points respectively at the first drum corps show of the season in Middelburg last Saturday.
The difference between the winner and the second placed corps in the Premier Class was small. Jubal Drum & Bugle Corps from Dordrecht had to settle for second place, but were only 0.3 points behind the winner Juliana. Die Tambourijnen came third (34.25). The Junior Class was also won by a corps from Middelburg. Johan Friso came first (63.05), and Junior Corps Die Tambourijnen came second (44.00).
Despite the very small number of competitors in Middelburg, a lot of drum corps fans found their way to the sports park. The next DCN show will take place in Huizen in four weeks' time. The British drum corps season will start in Bradford a week before that.
