Crews from Kidsgrove and Sandyford were called out Friday just after 10.50am to reports of a blaze at an outbuilding in The Avenue. Firefighters used one hose to the tackle the fire. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and could have potentially caused serious problems for passing trains. The main building of the Kidsgrove Scouts was untouched.
