Staff team Northern Star extended
The Northern Star Group has announced the appointment of Craig Sherratt as visual designer and caption aead for 2005. Rebekka Evans has entered the color guard staff of Northern Star.
With a drum corps career spanning over two decades, Craig has become one of Drum Corps United Kingdoms most sought after visual designers. His instructing and writing experience includes Anchormen, Poynton and Senators. Since 2000 Craig has achieved four High Visual awards. Craig started his drum corps career in 1978 with the Warrington Corps. Since then he went on to march Conquest Alliance, The Statesmen and finally aged out with the Blue Eagles in 1996. In 1991 and 1993 Craig travelled to the US to march with the Crossmen.
Bekki will bring 18 years of experience to Star in 2005. At the age of 8 Bekki started her drum corps days with the Statesmen. In 1994 she went on to march the Squires, Blue Eagles and finally aged out with the Senators in 2002. Bekki was also a member of the Crossmen in 1999 where they placed 4th in auxiliary. Bekki's teaching experience started in 2003 where she was the caption head for Poynton Commodores. In 2004 Bekki taught Cadence where she fulfilled her goal of winning the color guard caption at the national Finals.
Both Craig and Bekki will be with the corps on a full time basis for the 2005 season. With a great staff team in place, new equipment, a fantastic show and three trips to Europe 2005 is set to be a very exiting year indeed for Northern Star.
