Registration started for the DCE Championships 2006
Today, the registration period for the DCE European Championships has begun. Corps teams will be able to register during the whole of November. The participants list will be published mid-December.
As of this year, other criteria will be used for selection. If, by the end of the month, there are still places available, the registration deadline will be extended until the event is full. In view of the amount of interest shown, the Drum Corps Europe management team believes that the 2006 edition will again be a fantastic drum corps event, with a battle between the top European corps.
In a change from previous years, the A-Class has now been withdrawn. The top three corps teams from the A-class of the DCE Championships 2005 are invited to participate in the Open Class. The number of finalists selected during the Open Class Prelims for the evening program has been increased from 10 to 12.
A final decision on the location for the DCE Championships 2006 has not yet been made, but DCE expects to announce it shortly. In order to lie as centrally as possible, the location will be chosen in either the South of the Netherlands or in Belgium.
