Publish Date: 26 Apr 2009 - 617 views

On 15th March 2009, seven members of Kidsgrove Scouts' drum line completed the Stafford Half Marathon to raise funds for the corps. The runners were Stuart Hancock, Steve Hunt, James Moore, Hayden Burns, Richard Boughtflower, Jamie Clare and Paul Lowton.

Between them they managed to raise almost £1000.00 to go towards equipment and expenses for the 2009 season. The event was organised by Suzie Haw from Kidsgrove's brass line. The marathon has added to the successful run of fundraising events that the corps has been involved with.
