DCE to launch Media Store next week
Drum Corps Europe will launch its online Media Store next week. Drum corps fans can purchase audio and video files in the DCE Media Store and start downloading them right away.
This online store will offer video and audio files of DCE corps performances for use on portable video and audio devices. Drum corps fans will be able to purchase performances and download them immediately from the DCE web server. Audio files will be priced 1.99 euros and video files will be available for 3.99 euros. After the payment has been processed (credit card or PayPal account), the file can be downloaded right away.
By purchasing files from the DCE Media Store, drum corps fans will support their favourite corps directly. Corps will earn 50 percent of each sale. When an audio file from a corps is purchased through the DCE Media Store, the corps will receive EUR 1.00 of it. When a video file is purchased, corps will receive EUR 2.00 of the sale.
The quality of the recordings will be excellent, with video that is optimised for portable video players, and audio with a bit rate of 192 kbps.
