In a move guaranteed to generate controversy, the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps announced their 2005 program, 'The Carmen Project'. A modern fusion of the world's favorite opera with the looks and sounds of the street, 'The Carmen Project' takes Bizet's passionate score and breaks it wide open with Santana, Ravel and Bernstein.
"We want to reinvent the kind of world-class production that generates heat," stated executive director Sal Salas, "so we're ready to intensify the emotion and power of today's Scouts.
