High Brass to host brass clinic
For the first time, High Brass will be hosting a workshop for young brass players during the afternoon of the Pyramid Arts Centre performance on 21st October. The event, the first of its kind in the UK, shall take place in the Arts Centre itself and is intended to give young brass players the opportunity to rehearse with the band and later take to the stage during the evening performance. Ian Darrington MBE, who has played a huge part in the musical
development of High Brass in recent times, will be leading the day's
events with contributions from the band members themselves. It should
be a enjoyable and rewarding day for all those involved.
Starting at 12.00pm, admission for spectators to the afternoon workshop
will be free for anyone with a ticket for the evening event; there will
be a £2 entrance fee for those without tickets for the evening concert.
