Forgemen break world team drumming record
Nine members of the Forgemen percussion have successfully broken the world team drumming marathon record. Spirits were a little low after Lee Whitehead had to give up his attempt at the individual record. But the guys have pulled together and pushed past their target.
The attempt started Friday morning at 10 AM. The members are drumming in three teams of three drummers, each group doing 8 hours non-stop drumming each day, then handing over to the next group. Their plan is now to carry on until tonight 6 PM, for a total of 128 hours.
Unfortunately Lee Whitehead has failed in his attempt to break the world individual drumming marathon record. Lee reached 70 hours at 4 AM on Monday Night, but collapsed with exhaustion shortly after that. He is OK, although obviously disappointed.
