Music City Drum & Bugle Corps from Nashville is doing very well in the Drum Corps International competition. In the third year of its existence, they are now hoping to compete with a full corps of 150 members.
Music City's membership has continued to grow. The corps started with just 47 members in 2009, and then came 13th in the DCI Open Class. Last year the membership grew to 64, helping the corps move into 6th place.
The corps from Nashville now hopes to enter the contest fields with the maximum number of members allowed. Executive Director Keith Hall credits the corps' rapid growth to the corps' focus on making every day a fun experience for the members and to the dedication of the largely volunteer instructional staff.
