Brecht Lingier grew up in the marching environment. He played bass drum with Jong WIK from Ostend from a young age and joined show corps WIK (bass line) as soon as he was old enough. His sister and his parents were also members of WIK, and are still playing. As a child, Lingier dreamed to one day play in an American drum & bugle corps, and this year he will take the opportunity to make his dream come true.
The other two Western Flemish musicians who will be marching in a DCI corps this year, are Thomas Claesen (from Ostend, tenor drummer The Cavaliers) and Shana Beernaert (from Wevelgem, trumpet player Santa Clara Vanguard). (Source: Thomas Claesen)
