2011 Northern Preview in Sheffield
Concord Youth Music of Sheffield have announced that they will be hosting the 2011 Northern Preview event in their home city. The show offers the opportunity to view the pre-season performances of some of the UK's finest drum corps and marching bands in a stress-free, non-competitive environment.
The show will be held in the North's newest, award-winning, purpose-built contemporary performance centre 'The Blue Shed' in Sheffield. The venue offers top class facilities for participants and spectators including a large performance area, 350 ramped seats, lighting options, easy access for all, free parking, rehearsal areas plus a licensed bar and social area.
The 3-hour spectacular will be held on Saturday 7th May, beginning at 6.00 pm. Tickets cost £5.00 (£3.00 concessions for senior citizens and under 14s) and may be ordered online via www.concord.org.uk. They will also be available on the door from 4.00 pm.
Participants are members of all three national marching youth music organisations (DCUK, BYBA and TYMBA). Corps and bands who are interested to enter the event are still welcome to apply.
