'Double delight' for Kidsgrove Scouts
The Kidsgrove Scouts are the new DCUK Cchampions in both the Open Class and Junior Class. In the Open Class Kidsgrove and The Company tied (both 81.85), however the DCUK rules include a tie breaker: the corps with the highest score on Effect wins.
The audience saw very exciting yesterday at the DCUK Championships in Mansfield. Eight corps made Open Class Finals, and five corps battled for the A-Class title (the DCUK A-Class are judged to the DCE Premier Class criteria, not the A-Class criteria). The Cheshire Cadets became the DCUK A-Class champions.
Eight DCUK corps will compete this coming Saturday in the DCE European Championships which are held in Kerkrade - The Netherlands. European scores so far can be found at www.drumcorpseurope.org/scores.
