Distant Thunder endorse Kelly Mouthpieces
Distant Thunder are pleased to announce a deal with Kelly Mouthpieces which will mean that the complete brass section will be playing on the Lexon mouthpieces over the forthcoming season.
Corps director John Dimmick of Distant Thunder said: "We are delighted to endorse the mouthpieces as we believe they offer a far brighter sound and will not become damaged if the student drops them unlike metal mouthpieces. During the winter spring rehearsals it also means that the brass section will have a comfortable feel on the lips when playing outside."
Jim Kelly, CEO of Kelly Mouthpieces said: "We are delighted to be able to supply Distant Thunder as they have a great set up in the UK and with a demanding program such as West Side Story the brass players will need the comfort of the Kelly Mouthpiece to offer longevity of embouchure during the show. Kelly Mouthpieces are now recognised as a top quality mouthpiece around the globe and will be used by many groups including Blue Devils 'B' Corps."
Distant Thunder will be playing at various BYBA and DCE shows during the 2005 season and would like to thank again Kelly Mouthpieces for the kind donation of the equipment.
