BYBA season has started
The Cadence Spectacular Show saw the start of the 2010 British Youth Band Association Competitive Season on Sunday 13th June at the Aldershot Military Stadium.
With 9 units performing on the day, all units gave it there all for the first competitive show on the calendar. Division 3 saw the newly formed Nexus Drum & Bugle Corps taking 1st place honours closely followed by Cadence Drum & Bugle Corps in 2nd place. Marxmen (3rd) and Downsmen (4th) concluded the Division.
6th Hove Scouts kicked off their 2010 Season with a 1st place win in Division 1, with 37th Kingswood coming in 2nd place. Black Knights took 1st Place in the Associate Division. Although both Division 1 and Associate are judged by the same criteria and are both printed on 1 summary sheet, placings and caption wins are split into the separate divisions allowing both divisions to compare scores across the board.
The Cadets concluded the day with 2 strong performances from Cadence Cadets (1st) and Black Knights Cadets (2nd). Scores and recaps can be found at www.byba.org.uk.
