Beatrix' winter guard plans WGI trip for 2011
Beatrix' winter guard has unvealed their plans for a new USA tour. The group will strive to participate in the Winter Guard International Championships of 2011. About two years ago, Beatrix' winter guard announced the very same news for the 2009 season. That year, for the first time in Beatrix' history, the group was to take part in the WGI Championships.
Now, two years later, they look back on a hugely successful trip. The group managed to break through to the Independent Open Class Finals in the well-known UD Arena in Dayton. Beatrix is the only European winter guard group that ever finished in the WGI top ten. "A huge achievement that we are still very proud of", says Gerard Eijlers, chairman of the Beatrix Association.
After extensive talks between the USA 2011 Committee, Beatrix' management team and the Beatrix Association board, the decision was made to once again start the preparations for a journey to the United States, so that Beatrix may once more enter the UD arena next season.
