Green light for amplification

Publish Date: 30 Dec 2009 - 848 views

Amplified percussion has now been accepted by DCE and its Certified Partners. After the past 'test year', neither organisation can see any issue with giving the green light.

2009 was the first year in which DCE, DCN and DCUK decided to give participants the opportunity to use pit amplification. It was made clear at the time that the use of the equipment would be evaluated towards the end of the year. This evaluation has now been carried out, and it has led the organisations to conclude that there are no issues.

The DCE Competition Manual will be updated. DCE, DCN and DCUK reserve the right to refuse the electrical equipment in some (emergency) conditions.
